Web Design Intern

The ideal candidate should have experience designing and building amazing user experiences utilizing online software platforms. You should have a good understanding of how to design and build an online portal. This role is very hands-on and requires someone who is comfortable taking the lead to do things on their own. You will have the autonomy to work on your own time and terms so collaboration and communication with our team is crucial for this role. This is a great opportunity for individuals that want to build their resume in the fields of marketing and advertising with a focus in online graphic and web design. Schedule: 5-month term internship, start date is as soon as possible. It will be 10 to 15 hours a week and is unpaid with the opportunity to turn into a contract position.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with the sourcing of content for social, digital and email campaigns
• Assist with production of materials for campaigns, promotions, and presentations
•Participate in the logistical coordination of events
•Map out user/process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Assist with internal campaigns and project requests.
• Editing digital media content for use on social media, internal communications and internal website.
• Participate in video planning sessions with creative and marketing teams
• Assisting with video recording both on-site and on-location, and with other needs the creative team has as needed
• Media management, reviewing footage, editing rough cuts and complete edits, creating motion graphics
• Assist with site management.


Job Requirements:
• Current student majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Video Editing/Film-making, Business Administration, IT, or related required.
• Must have completed a minimum of 1 year in an accredited college or university.
• Motivated to learn and improve operational processes.
• Must be able to demonstrate solid writing and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail.
• Adjusts positively to quickly-changing priorities and shifting goals in a fast paced environment.
