Under the direction of the Manager of the Risk, Compliance & Delivery section of Michigan Cyber Security (MCS), this position functions as a first-line unit manager in a complex work area and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work activities of the Liaison unit. This individual supervises the unit staff that are involved in the risk assessment and compliance monitoring of all the State agencies. This position is responsible for selecting and assigning unit staff, conducting unit staff meetings to discuss programs and projects, and identifying staff development needs as they relate to the goals of the division and the department. The position especially will -
  • Assist in addressing security control requirements per various regulations
  • Review audit findings to determine possible solution and when it should be remediated
  • Address various security concerns/issues and make recommendations to Agency Services and Agency
This position will work with senior level staff across the enterprise, as well as other areas within DTMB and Agency business partners/clients. It is expected that this position will be a working manager. 

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience
Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.

Alternate Education and Experience
Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology
Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.
