(Grinnellink) Project Management Summer Internship (Paid)

More than just art, the Art Institute of Chicago, is looking for a self motivated Project Management Intern.
The Information Services department delivers technology services and information resources in a secure and reliable manner to support the mission of the organization. The IS PMO (Project Management Office) plans and manages information technology projects ranging from software implementations and upgrades to the deployment of new technologies to business process improvements.

INTERNSHIP OUTCOMES:
  • Learn about project life-cycle management through the development of core project management capabilities.
  • Gain practical experience on IT projects including the creation of project management deliverables (project plans, risk and issues logs, etc.) and learning how to work with cross functional teams towards a common goal.
  • Collaborate closely with various business areas across the museum, the School of the Art Institute, and central administration offices (HR and Finance) as well as with technical specialists and management in the Information Services department.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students, or recent graduates (within one year of graduation) in Information Systems, Business Operations or Analysis, Organizational Management, Computer Science or other related field.
  • Self-motivated and interested in project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in the cultural non-profit and/or higher education space.

Length of Program: 8-10 weeks
Hours: up to 35 hrs/week
