Public Health Nurse I/II

Under the supervision of a Public Health Nurse Supervisor and within the framework of the Human Services Department and Public Health Division policies and programs, independently delivers professional nursing services to individuals, families and groups. Provides nursing services to identified at-risk populations by telephone, in clinic settings, schools and in the community. Provides countywide consultation and education on health topics. The nurse hired will work a full-time (37.5 hours per week), regular, consistent schedule with 12 paid holidays off, 12 paid sick days per year, and 12 vacation days the first year (increased in subsequent years as dictated by the MNA Unit I union contract). Minimal to no overtime will be available or required. Minimal to no weekend or evening/night shifts will be required. Pay increase after one successful year of employment; annual step increases as negotiated by MNA Unit I.
