The Job
As the newest member of our Monitoring Center team, you will:
- Develop knowledge of emergency communication procedures, alarm monitoring system, and access control system.
- Monitor alarm signals in our Monitoring Center using established protocols until resolution of the alarm.
- Answer incoming phone calls and professionally complete the caller’s request.
- Be a trusted advisor when speaking to customers in active alarm situations.
- Properly document all responses to alarms and follow all established rules.
- Be responsible, punctual, and exhibit a reliable work ethic.
Your Skills
We’re looking for the privilege of working with a person who possesses:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal & written communication with a passion to help others.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions.
- Ability to type 35 WPM accurately.
- Previous work experience with locating/logging customer information and customer service over the phone preferred.
- Must be able to work full time on 1st shift. Normal hours are 7am - 3pm on 1st or 11p - 7a on 3rd. This shift can include 8 and 12 hour shifts. Opportunities to switch shifts in the future.
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
- The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Our Benefits
- Starting wage is $12.75+
- $1.00 raise after completing 1st level (typically within initial training period)
- $2.00/hour shift premium when working weekends
- $2.00/hour shift premium when working 5:00p - 6:45a
