Data Analyst
Responsible for supporting and maintaining activities related to assessment data management and of an online, interactive performance analytics system to support monitoring and analysis of assessment and accountability indicators and various District initiatives and programs. This includes data extract, transformation, and movement between applications and the data warehouse, working closely with Information Systems teams and other District offices with data needs. This position reports to the Manager of Performance Analytics.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Collaborates with the performance analytics team to build and maintain data visualizations.
2. Create, organize, transform, and maintain databases of student-, teacher-, and school-level information as needed for reporting, evaluation, and analysis.
3. Provides technical support, data training, and staff development to building administrators, teacher leaders, and other district staff on internally and externally developed data tools and processes.
4. Respond to data requests, questions, and fulfill assessment data and information needs to District decision-makers as required.
5. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and communicate findings/results effectively to multiple audiences in both oral and written form.
6. Analyze data with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and interpret results; prepare graphic or other communicative displays (e.g. graphs, charts) using reporting software, write evaluation reports using APA style.
7. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all data, research, and analyses as directed.
8. Provides technical support, training, and staff development on assessment and data literacy to executives, building administrators, and other district staff.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
