Senior Copywriter

Senior Copywriter
As Sr. Copywriter within our agency you’ll collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative content and campaigns in the world of social media, digital and out-of-home. You are expected to showcase your versatility from conception to project completion. We’re expecting this person to lead by example, with a positive attitude and a keen eye for meticulous detail that results in the highest quality creative – we can all be exceptionally proud of.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to 10+ creative projects at one time from beginning to end; with emphasis on leading the copywriting component.
  • Manage conception, organization and execution of social content calendars in the distinct and unique tone of the brand.
  • Responsible for writing in all mediums including, social postings, creative briefs, brand guidelines, manifestos and video scripts.
  • Write in different editorial voices, understanding why they work and how to switch between them.
  • Showcase a strong social media IQ with a deep understanding of audience behaviors and writing style across Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
  • Identify opportunities with emerging digital platforms and highlight trends that drive innovation. Stay current with changes in technology and demonstrate technical competence.
  • Understand the difference between a creative idea and a tactical execution and proficient in performing both.   
  • Ability to work alone or partner with the art team to develop ideas and compelling campaigns for clients.
  • Assist junior team members to learn brand parameters and voice as they develop and execute their own creative ideas.
  • Strategically lead/contribute to brainstorms, ideations, and conversations around brand creative, campaign framework and direction for both brand guidelines, big ideas and day-to-day content strategy.
  • Contribute to new business pitches through RFP responses, deck creation and internal collaboration.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 7-10 years experience in the advertising agency world
  • A relentless desire to consume media and stay informed on trends/advancements in social media.
  • Expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, monitor and self-manage workload.
  • Flawless written and verbal communication skills.
  • Natural problem-solver who can think quickly through unforeseen issues and stay calm amid changing deadlines with the ability to communicate with all levels of the company and garner buy-in from team members with a solutions oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Apps and Keynote with an entry level understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile.
