What is it all about
The HVAC Engineer is responsible for the design of a variety of HVAC and process systems with estimating and project management being a secondary focus.

Some of the activities for this position are listed below:
  • Creates HVAC designs, including system narratives, drawings and specifications for a variety of project types and sizes
  • Work in close contact and effectively interact with the internal design, estimating, construction and service teams
  • Assist in the preparation of conceptual cost estimates for a wide variety of HVAC systems
  • Participate in project interviews and make presentations to external clients
·        Work closely with general contractor, architects and engineers to resolve design related
construction issues using value engineering principles.  
·        Work with the CAD/BIM Manager as necessary after award of design build projects
·        Design complete HVAC systems for design build projects in accordance with local, state and
national codes.
·        Performs engineering review of shop drawings for compliance.
·        Responsible for plan submittals for city and state review.
Conduct periodic onsite observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
Works with the Project Manager to establish and maintain consistent standards projects
·        Participates in department meetings as requested
·        Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a teamwork attitude.
 
What you bring
Engineering degree
·        Skilled in Microsoft Office. Experience with Quickpen, and AutoCAD/TSI is a plus.
·        Willingness to be available on varied days or times due to delays or emergencies at the job site.
