Behavior Technician

Work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often intense environment to provide behavioral interventions to students who have language, communication, behavioral and developmental delays. Interventions are individualized to meet the needs of each student and used to decrease problem and aggressive behavior, as well as to promote skill acquisition. Also respond when teams need help with challenging behavior in the moment. This can be in any area of the building, any classroom, on a bus, or in the community. Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience with behavior. Embraces and supports KRESA philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism. Ability to interact effectively with individuals from a wide range of cultures. Ability to discuss cultural differences with colleagues and clients. Ability to assess one's own strengths and limitations or challenges and integrate this understanding into interpersonal interactions.

Preferred Skills:
Ability to select and develop appropriate methods, skills and techniques attuned to people's cultural, multicultural or marginal experiences in their environments. Ability to effectively employ multicultural approaches in resolving problems.
