Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT/MLS) - Clinical Pathology

Job Summary
 
We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT/MLS)  for our Clinical Pathology Team located in Mattawan, MI. 
 
Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT/MLS) in the Clinical Pathology laboratory is responsible for performing sample analyses and administrative duties required by protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on biological specimens from all species to produce sound, reliable data. The individual in this role uses good communication and interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment and mentors/trains less experienced personnel.
 
The following are the minimum requirements related to the  Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT/MLS) position.
 
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Technologist (MT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or,
  • Bachelor’s degree (biology, chemistry, or combination) with at least 3 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and perform clinical laboratory procedures, both manually and using instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical laboratory science.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints.
