Speech and Language Pathologist (Local Districts) 3-5 days/week - VBIEA

LOCATIONS:   Bloomingdale/Gobles

The primary job goal of the Speech and Language Pathologist is to serve individuals between the ages of birth-26 years, who have not graduated from high school, who manifest one or more of the following communication impairments which adversely affects their educational performance.

Articulation impairment

Language impairment

Voice impairment

Fluency impairment

Pragmatics impairment

1.  Complete a comprehensive evaluation of students in response to a special education referral.

2.  Participate in educational planning.

3.  Provide speech and language services to special education students as assigned on the IEP.

4.  Effectively communicate, consult, and team with parents, staff, agencies, and others

5.  Perform appropriate action in response to referrals of special education students.

6.  Adhere to Van Buren ISD policies and procedures.

7.  Complete assigned responsibilities within agreed upon or established time lines.

8.  Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and duties as assigned by the Special Education

      Supervisor.
