Software Development Intern

Using a defined set of requirements and under the guidance of the CTO, the Development Intern will utilize software design, analysis and development skills to contribute to Regal Web Solutions’ software development goals. Interns on this team must love to find creative solutions that tackle challenging business problems.

The Development Intern will work with the team to design, test, develop, deploy production-ready web applications and execute the final deliverable plan. Developers will be expected to build elegant, responsive, and optimized (cross-platform) web and mobile applications and user interfaces with HTML5/ CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax, Bootstrap, Angular.js and other technologies as defined by the CTO.

·        Create responsive (desktop and mobile-friendly) web applications

·        Implement server-side application logic and integration of front-end code

·        Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

·        Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

·        Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

·        Communicate and collaborate with the team for shared goals

·        Drive application design and review code to match business standards

·        Develop clear documentation for collaborative support

Qualifications (or desire to learn)

·        Proficient understanding of web markup (including HTML, CSS)

·        Object Oriented programming and debugging

·        Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JS frameworks (ex. jQuery)

·        Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

·        Creativity and quick problem solving capabilities

·        Ability to think strategically and plan effectively

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to work individually or as a team and adjust to change

·        Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
