1. 8+ years of experience in Middleware.
2. Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting WebSphere platforms in Unix (AIX, Linux) environments.
3. Experience with IBM WebSphere, BPM 8.5.5, IBM HTTP, WebSphere portal server 8.0 and MQ.
4. Extensive experience in tuning WebSphere for JVM, Threads, Connection Pools, Data sources is a must.
5. Installed and upgraded different versions of WebSphere and Supporting Java upgrades on WebSphere servers.
6. Monitoring Application and JVM logs.
7. Support of WebSphere Portal and Cognos Integration
8. Security remediation of Web and Application tiers.
9. Certificate deployment in Middleware Server
10. WebSphere application deployment.
11. Monitoring the performance of Extranet and Intranet applications.
12. Performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting WebSphere, Tomcat and Apache server instances.
13. Responsible for WebSphere Domain and Cluster Creation and Management for High availability.
14. Deployment of various application packages including JAR, WAR, and EAR on WebSphere Servers.
15. Creating and configuring connection pools for the applications.
16. Troubleshooting all build related issues at the server and application level.
17. Configure SSL/ TLS on Webservers & Application servers.
18. Work with cross- functional Infrastructure Teams
19. Security patching & Software upgrades
20. Act as a first point of contact for any middleware technical issues
21. Middleware Incident Escalations
22. Prior, active participation in infrastructure architecture, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security.
23. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
