Job Description:
This internship will provide practical experience in applying digital tools and techniques within the manufacturing sector.

Project responsibilities:
As an intern, you will support Oakdale’s production data collection and analysis project. The main aim of the internship will be to identify practical ways of digitising and automating productivity reporting from our production lines, including comparing production output against cycle counter data to help build a clearer understanding of wastage, downtime and process performance.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing how production numbers are currently captured, recorded and reported across relevant production lines.
- Helping to map existing data sources, including production records, cycle counters and other operational information - Identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, reduce manual entry and make productivity data easier to access and interpret.
- Supporting the development of simple digital tools, dashboards or reports to monitor production output, cycle performance, downtime and wastage trends.
- Working with production and management colleagues to understand practical shop-floor requirements and ensure any proposed digital improvements are realistic and usable.
- Exploring wider opportunities to support process improvement, automation, performance reporting and data-led decision-making within Oakdale.
