Regis Catholic Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys Golf Head Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf, a commitment to helping students grow both on and off the course, and the ability to foster a positive, competitive, and team-oriented environment.

Our coaches play an important role in developing character, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and leadership while supporting the academic and spiritual development of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the boys golf program.
  • Conduct practices that develop individual skills, course management, teamwork, and competitive readiness.
  • Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and tournaments.
  • Promote a positive team culture built on respect, sportsmanship, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Support the academic, personal, and character development of student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff.
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding schedules, transportation, equipment, facilities, and other program needs.
  • Ensure compliance with WIAA, Regis Catholic Schools, and Diocese of La Crosse policies and expectations.
  • Attend required coaches' meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Maintain appropriate records and complete required athletic and administrative responsibilities.
  • Serve as a positive role model and representative of Regis Catholic Schools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

  • Previous golf playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the game of golf and the ability to teach fundamental skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes of varying skill levels and experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to developing student-athletes both as competitors and as individuals.
  • Ability to create a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
  • Commitment to the mission and Catholic identity of Regis Catholic Schools.
  • Must complete all required Diocese of La Crosse and Regis Catholic Schools Safe Environment requirements.
  • Must meet all applicable WIAA coaching requirements.

Position: Boys Golf Head Coach
Location: Regis High School – Eau Claire, WI
Reports to: Athletic Director

Season: Spring

  • Earliest Practice: March 29, 2027
  • Earliest Competition/Match: April 1, 2027
  • State Championship: June 8–9 at University Ridge in Madison
