Lower School Music and Chorus Teacher-Leave Replacement
Pioneer Academy is seeking a highly effective Lower School Music and Chorus Teacher with 2-3 years of teaching experience to fill a leave replacement position with a January 2027 start date.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver creative and interactive music lessons for lower grades that align with the school's curriculum.
- Introduce students to fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, and basic music theory.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, incorporating hands-on activities, group performances, and technology integration to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess and evaluate students' musical progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with other music teachers and faculty across disciplines to create integrated learning experiences.
- Stay current with trends in music education and incorporate innovative approaches into the classroom.
- Actively participate in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- NJ State Teacher Certification in Music.
- Passion for music and a genuine desire to inspire young learners.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in creative and interactive music lessons.
- Experience using technology in the music classroom.

Salary range:
$60,000-$76,000, commensurate with experience. The salary will be adjusted based on the remaining portion of the academic year.
