Marketing Communications Intern

Job Title: Marketing Communications Intern                   Reports to: MarCom Manager

Employment Status: Internship           FLSA: Non-Exempt          Location: Lake Mary, FL

 

 

Job Summary

The Marketing & Communications Intern will support the marketing team in executing communication strategies across digital and traditional channels. This role offers hands‑on experience in content creation, social media management, website updates, email marketing, and internal communications. The ideal candidate is creative, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Help manage and update content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Draft and edit social media posts, website content, newsletters, and email communications.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive insights, and audience opportunities.
  • Support the creation of promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics for social media, email campaigns, and website activity.
  • Assist with organizing and supporting events, webinars, and trade show preparation.
  • Help with internal communication projects, including employee newsletters and company announcements.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.

 

 

Required Qualifications (Continued)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Buffer, or Google Analytics.
  • Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS).
  • Coursework or projects related to digital marketing, branding, or communications.
  • Interest in graphic design, copywriting, or analytics.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach to problem solving.
