About Sweetwine Enterprises

Sweetwine Enterprises is a fully remote life-coaching company built exclusively for current and former athletes. We help athletes with confidence, identity building, goal setting, life planning, post sport direction and everything that comes with life during and after athletics. Our team operates across coaching, business operations, athlete relations, partnerships, media, and internal support to create an organized and dependable experience for both the athletes we serve and the professionals working within our company.

As a growing company, interns receive exposure to real business systems, cross-functional projects, employee operations, internal analytics, and responsibilities that directly support the day-to-day operation of the company.

About the Role

Sweetwine Enterprises is seeking a Business Operations & People Analytics Intern to join our Support Team.

The Support Team serves as an operational backbone of the company, helping Sweetwine Enterprises remain organized, responsive, accurate, and dependable behind the scenes. Its responsibilities span business operations, employee performance, people operations, client administration, internal systems, communication, and documentation.

This internship combines:

  • Business operations
  • Employee performance analytics
  • People operations and HR-supported responsibilities
  • New employee onboarding
  • Internal systems and records
  • Client administration
  • Operational reporting
  • Process improvement

Because Sweetwine Enterprises is built around current and former athletes, an interest in sports, athletics, athlete development, sports business, or working within an athlete-centered organization is strongly preferred.

This is a strong opportunity for a student interested in seeing how a growing company manages its people, processes, data, and internal operations.

What You’ll Work On

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting administration of the company’s Employee Performance System.
  • Reviewing employee performance information involving attendance and reliability, timeliness, responsiveness, effort, follow-through, communication, initiative, team participation, coachability, and other workplace-performance indicators.
  • Reviewing employee-performance dashboards, weekly averages, monthly results, and yearly trends.
  • Helping identify recurring performance patterns, operational concerns, strengths, and areas that may require additional leadership attention.
  • Maintaining accurate employee directories, roles, reporting assignments, employee statuses, and other internal workforce information.
  • Supporting new employee and intern onboarding, including onboarding checklists, orientation preparation, company materials, required-document tracking, system setup coordination, and follow-up.
  • Assisting with people operations and HR-supported administrative responsibilities, including factual documentation, internal issue routing, policy follow-through, employee records, and workforce organization.
  • Preparing short internal summaries, audits, reports, or findings for company leadership.
  • Reviewing spreadsheets, databases, and company records for incomplete, outdated, inconsistent, or missing information.
  • Supporting approved employee-performance documentation and ensuring relevant manager notes are clear and factual.
  • Comparing operational records and reported activity to identify missing information or inconsistencies.
  • Supporting client operations, including interest-form administration, onboarding records, scheduling support, client-status information, emergency-contact verification, and operational follow-through.
  • Reviewing client records and helping ensure approved information is accurate and current.
  • Monitoring approved company communication channels and routing questions, concerns, and requests to the correct person or department.
  • Maintaining organized internal documentation, task lists, files, and company systems.
  • Participating in special projects involving business analytics, employee engagement, organizational efficiency, onboarding, process improvement, or internal operations.
  • Helping ensure important operational issues are documented, escalated when necessary, and moved to a clear next step.

Examples of Projects You May Complete

Depending on current company needs, projects may include:

  • Analyzing employee-performance trends across several weeks or months.
  • Reviewing performance categories to identify recurring organizational patterns.
  • Auditing employee or client records for missing or outdated information.
  • Helping improve a new-hire onboarding process.
  • Creating or improving onboarding checklists and internal resources.
  • Developing an employee-engagement or employee-recognition proposal.
  • Reviewing a company workflow and recommending ways to improve efficiency.
  • Organizing information for leadership before an employee-performance review.
  • Reviewing company databases for inconsistencies or incomplete records.
  • Supporting the development of a new internal process or operating procedure.
  • Preparing a concise business report summarizing findings from an internal audit.
  • Reviewing company systems and identifying opportunities for stronger organization or follow-through.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organized and highly attentive to detail.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, data, records, and structured systems.
  • Interested in analyzing information and identifying patterns rather than simply entering data.
  • Professional when handling confidential employee and client information.
  • A strong written communicator.
  • Dependable in a remote-work environment.
  • Comfortable following established processes and company procedures.
  • Receptive to feedback and willing to ask questions when needed.
  • Able to work independently while recognizing when a situation needs to be escalated.
  • Interested in understanding how employees, systems, and business operations work together.
  • Comfortable working in a growing company where priorities may occasionally change.
  • Interested in sports, athletics, athlete development, sports business, or an athlete-centered organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred, but not required:

  • Academic or career interest in business analytics, business administration, human resources, management, operations, organizational leadership, sports management, or a related field.
  • Interest in the sports industry or athlete development.
  • Current or former participation in athletics, sports organizations, student organizations, or team environments.

Important Role Boundaries

This internship supports Sweetwine Enterprises’ business operations and people operations.

Interns do not independently:

  • Make hiring or termination decisions.

  • Determine compensation.
  • Resolve serious employee complaints independently.
  • Make final employment decisions.
  • Provide life coaching.
  • Change company pricing or coaching services.
  • Handle serious client safety concerns independently.

Sensitive employee, client, legal, payment, or safety situations are documented and escalated to authorized company leadership.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal intern is someone who enjoys understanding how a business works behind the scenes.

You may enjoy this internship if you are interested in questions such as:

Why are certain employees performing better than others?

What patterns are appearing across a workforce?

How can onboarding be improved?

How can a company organize its information more effectively?

Where are processes breaking down?

How can leadership use data to make better decisions?

How can internal operations better support a company serving athletes?

If you are interested in business, analytics, people, systems, and sports, this internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all of those areas within a growing athlete-centered company.
