Community Resource Specialist AmeriCorps Member

The Iowa Community Corps is a statewide AmeriCorps program that strengthens communities through improved access to critical resources and supports. AmeriCorps Members serve directly with local partners, gaining hands-on experience, professional training, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in community health.

As the Feeding America food bank for the area, the HACAP Food Reservoir distributes food through local pantries, schools, mobile distributions, senior programs, and partner agencies. The AmeriCorps member will help respond to these needs by expanding outreach, connecting neighbors to food and supportive services, assisting with resource distribution, and strengthening volunteer engagement. Their service will increase HACAP's capacity to meet urgent needs while helping individuals and families build connections to the resources, relationships, and support systems that promote stability,
dignity, and hope.
