Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered educator to serve as a Part-Time Learning Lab Coach. This position is ideal for a teacher with strong classroom management skills who enjoys mentoring students and supporting academic success.

The Lab Coach supervises students enrolled in our virtual school while they complete their online coursework in an in-person learning lab. Rather than providing direct instruction, the Lab Coach creates a structured, positive, and focused learning environment, monitors student progress, promotes accountability, and collaborates with virtual teachers and school administrators to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students as they complete their virtual coursework.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and establish clear expectations for student behavior.
• Foster a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.
• Monitor student engagement, attendance, and academic progress.
• Assist students with organization, time management, and assignment completion.
• Encourage independence while providing academic support when needed.
• Communicate with virtual teachers, parents, and school administrators regarding student progress and concerns.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Follow school policies and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate, or
• Currently enrolled in an Education degree program or actively pursuing Florida teacher certification.
• Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress for education candidates).
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong classroom management and create a structured, positive learning environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using educational technology and online learning platforms.
• Ability to motivate students, build positive relationships, and promote accountability.
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred.
• Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment is a plus.

Schedule

• Part-time (approximately 20-25 hours a week)
• 12:00PM-4:00PM
• August 2026
