🚀 Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Staff Accountant to support our core finance operations. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting activities—including AP/AR, payroll support, general ledger maintenance, and monthly reporting. You’ll also partner closely with our Director of Finance on key operational and administrative initiatives that keep our team running smoothly.
📋 What You’ll Do
Finance & Accounting Operations:
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Set up vendors and clients, process bills and invoices, and track incoming/outgoing payments.
General Ledger & Reporting: Record daily transactions, post entries, monitor accounts, and generate monthly financial reports in QuickBooks.
Payroll & Tax Administration: Administer time and attendance systems, execute bi-weekly payroll, manage tax payments, and assist with tax filings.
Corporate & HR Operations Support:
Vendor & Client Onboarding: Maintain corporate systems, collect W-9s, and set up new accounts.
Personnel & Benefits Admin: Maintain compliant employment records, support new hire onboarding, manage sales commissions, and assist with W-2, ACA, PCORI, and 1099 reporting.
Corporate Maintenance: Track insurance policies, request Certificates of Insurance (COIs), assist with annual 409A valuations, and support corporate retreat planning and budgeting.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Key Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Software Expertise: QuickBooks training and/or official certification required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Core Skills: Solid foundation in GAAP/accounting principles, high accuracy and attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

💼 Work Environment & Location
This position is based locally in the Upper Valley (Hanover, NH / Norwich, VT area). Work is performed in a typical office setting involving sitting, standing, and walking.
