Product Manager
Job Title: Product Manager
Company: KinnectCare
Employment Type: Part-time
Location: Remote
Work Authorization: Open to candidates anywhere; candidates with ties to India, Nigeria, and/or the Philippines especially encouraged to apply
About KinnectCare
KinnectCare is building the health platform for diaspora families, the millions of people raising their lives in one country while their parents grow old in another. We turn the ordinary video calls families already make with aging parents into early wellness signals, unify medical records across borders, and keep the whole family and their clinicians on one shared timeline.
We're pre-seed and building toward launch, with 250 families on the waitlist and pilot corridors live across the US, India, the Philippines, Nigeria, and the UK. Both founders are living this problem in real time, caring for their own parents abroad.
The Role
You will own what we build and why. Not a backlog. The product. This is the job for someone who wants to shape a product from its earliest version, in a category with no template, for families whose needs cross languages, generations, and borders. One week you are sitting with a daughter in New Jersey and her mother in Delhi, learning where the app fails them. The next you are turning that into a spec, cutting scope to ship this week instead of next month, or deciding what we deliberately won't build yet. You will translate a messy human problem into a product people trust with the people they love. You will own the roadmap. You will be trusted before you feel ready. That is the point.
What you'll do
- Own the product end-to-end: discovery, definition, prioritization, and shipping, in tight loops with founders, engineering, and design.
- Talk to families constantly, turn what you hear into insight, and turn insight into what we build next.
- Write the specs, cut the scope, and make the hard calls about what ships now and what waits.
- Turn a complex, sensitive problem, health signals across borders, into an experience that feels simple and trustworthy.
- Define and track the metrics that tell us the product is actually working activation, retention, and real family outcomes.
- Partner with engineering to turn our facial and speech signal analysis into features families understand and rely on.
- Do the unglamorous work that makes everything else possible. No task is beneath anyone here.
What we're looking for
- Proven product sense, you've shipped real products and can point to calls you made and why
- Fluent with both sides, comfortable in user research and in the details of what's technically feasible
- Ruthless prioritizer, you ship the thing that matters and cut the rest without flinching
- Strong communicator, you turn ambiguity into a clear spec the whole team can rally behind
- Resourceful and self-directed, you figure it out rather than wait to be told
- Comfortable with ambiguity and constant context-switching, no playbook required
- Genuine care for the mission, bonus if you've lived the cross-border caregiving experience yourself
Nice to have
- Experience building consumer or health products from early stage
- Comfort working with AI/ML features and translating them into something users trust
- Familiarity with the diaspora communities we serve, or building for multi-language, multi-generation users
A note on Stage and Compensation
We're currently at the pre-seed stage, so we want to be transparent that this position is unpaid for now. We'll be upfront about the tradeoffs of joining this early, while looking for someone who's excited by the opportunity to build with us from the ground floor.
