Undergraduate Internship

The Emerson Practice Associates (EPA) Undergraduate Internship is a 10 to 12-week experience, designed to provide interns with a unique experience so that they may build foundational skills for a successful career in the healthcare field.

Undergraduate interns will spend their semester supporting one of EPA’s primary care, medical subspecialty, surgical subspecialty or urgent care practices. Our undergraduate interns support clinical and/or administrative functions, allowing them to gain real-world knowledge of working in an ambulatory setting. The administrative functions allow for an opportunity to engage in front-end patient experience and revenue cycle processes, as well as gain further knowledge on clinic flow. The clinical functions allow for an opportunity of hands-on clinical training and patient interaction within an ambulatory healthcare setting.
