Under direction of a Supervisor I in the Administrative, Health and Safety Section, the Analyst II will independently perform complex, technical and analytical assignments, such as preparing reports, analyzing data, and presenting ideas and recommendations on procedures, policies, and programs. The Analyst II is expected to work independently, as part of a team, or as the lead analyst, to be courteous, provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and consider customers' input when completing assignments. Duties will include sensitive public contact with other state agencies within the CalEPA organization and external control agencies such as the Department of General Services (DGS) and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CalOSHA).
Beginning July 1, 2026, CalRecycle staff will be office centered, requiring employees to report to the office at least four days per week. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program needs. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the positions designated headquarter location, as reflected on the duty statement and at their own expense.
