Logistics Intern

As a Logistics Intern, you will play an integral role in supporting the seamless operation of our supply chain and fulfillment processes. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Purchasing, Logistics, Inside Sales, Quality Assurance, and Outside Processing, to ensure that both supplier and customer requirements are consistently met. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, allowing you to develop critical skills in supply chain management, communication, and problem-solving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, Inside Sales, Quality Assurance, and Outside Processing teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and fulfill customer requirements efficiently.

· Work closely with Inside Sales to manage and track customer orders, providing real-time updates and resolving any issues that may arise in the fulfillment process.

· Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within the IBM ERP system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and readily accessible.

· Coordinate with Outside Processing vendors to track outsourced manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality expectations.

· Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and present findings to management.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.

Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Must be able to work at least 15-20 hours per week Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.

· Basic understanding of supply chain principles and practices is a plus.

· Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
