Office Intern

Part-time position

 

Pollinator Partnership (P2) is looking for a part-time intern for data entry and administrative assistance at its headquarters office, located in the Financial District of San Francisco. Schedule can be flexible, but the intern must be able to devote approximately 16 hours per week for at least a 6-month appointment. The Intern must be able to work during normal office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).

 

About Pollinator Partnership:
Pollinator Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research. As the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to the preservation of the birds, bees, butterflies, beetles, and bats, P2 plays a key role in preserving terrestrial ecosystems, promoting agricultural productivity, and enhancing local communities through pollinator-centered work. P2 has been actively supporting the conservation and protection of pollinators throughout North America since 1997 Pollinator Partnership Canada (P2C), established in 2013, is P2’s sister organization, and the two groups work seamlessly together across borders. A multifaceted approach using science; habitat preservation and creation; policy outreach; and public education has helped P2 achieve our goals in pollinator conservation. Principal Responsibilities: 
The Intern is responsible for the following duties and others as assigned:

  • Development data input and management
  • Create thank you letters for donors
  • Filing and various office tasks
  • Fulfilling product orders and shipping materials
  • Answering phones


Desired Skills: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Can complete tasks with minimal oversight
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Professional demeanor with good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and interested in environmental work or nonprofit development
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Experience working at a nonprofit organization 

 

Compensation: $21 per hour

Location: 582 Market St, STE 1215, San Francisco, CA 94104
