Mechanical Technician
Position Overview:
Sensitic Technologies is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support assembly, integration, and testing of advanced optical and electromechanical systems for space and defense applications. This role is well-suited for a highly capable individual who is comfortable working with hardware, tools, and test equipment in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on mechanical assembly of components, subsystems, and full systems
- Support integration and test activities, including setup, execution, and documentation
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and basic fabrication equipment
- Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and procedures with precision
- Assist engineers with troubleshooting, rework, and iterative builds
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly and test processes
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with hands-on mechanical assembly and hardware work
- Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow written procedures and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to safe work practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision hardware environments
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems or optical hardware
- Experience with basic test equipment and measurement tools
- Exposure to CNC machining, 3D printing, or fabrication processes
Work Arrangement:
- Flexible employment structure: full-time or part-time
- On-site role based in Pasadena, CA
