Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Travel Required: Yes – Travel in personal vehicle throughout the assigned service area, including Saginaw County, Bay County, or Isabella County and surrounding communities as needed.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position
Hourly, Part-Time positions serving youth and families throughout Saginaw County, Bay County, and Isabella County.
Applicants must be dependable, committed, and a positive role model to serve youth and families in schools, communities, and in the homes.
Primary Responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wraparound model.
This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, activity reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- Provide services to youth and families in schools, communities, and home settings.
- Serve as a positive role model for youth and families.
- Utilize a strength-based approach and wraparound service model.
- Coordinate services and activities that support participant and family goals.
- Maintain communication with participants, families, schools, and community resources.
- Complete required documentation and service records.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Current automobile insurance coverage required.
