Litigation Campaign Assistant (Legal Operations)

Litigation Campaign Assistant (Legal Operations)

Who We Are

Duddy & Czarnecki PLLC is a mass tort litigation firm built from day one around technology. We operate alongside a software company, and together we’ve built a legal operations platform that lets a small, focused team manage cases at a scale traditional firms can’t match — AI-assisted workflows, automated pipelines, and project management systems that track hundreds of client matters simultaneously.

We represent plaintiffs harmed by defective products and toxic exposures: Roundup herbicide, PFAS “forever chemicals,” defective medical devices, and asbestos-related illness. We are a startup law firm — small, technology-integrated, and building something that doesn’t look like a traditional practice. If that’s interesting to you, keep reading.

The Role

This isn’t a legal job. It isn’t a tech job. It’s something newer than both.

The Litigation Campaign Assistant sits in the coordination layer between our attorneys, our technology infrastructure, and our operations teams. Your job is to make litigation campaigns run — executing workflows, tracking deliverables, catching problems before they compound, and building the processes that didn’t fully exist before you arrived.

Some workflows are documented. Some aren’t yet. You’ll be expected to execute what exists, improve what’s broken, and create what’s missing. If you’re operationally wired, genuinely curious about the legal and technology intersection, and motivated by process ownership rather than functional depth in either direction, this role was written for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Campaign workflow execution:  Run core litigation campaign workflows — quality control checks, workflow triggers, client segment pulls, complaint generation, and docket monitoring — accurately and consistently.
  • Issue monitoring & escalation:  Monitor operational dashboards daily and escalate issues based on defined thresholds before they become attorney problems.
  • Cross-functional coordination:  Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to keep campaign execution on track. Track deliverables and dependencies; follow up relentlessly.
  • Process documentation:  Translate project scopes into step-by-step operational instructions others can follow. Document workflows, capture lessons learned, and contribute to the firm’s operational playbook.
  • Document review & quality control:  Receive, categorize, and QC incoming client documents against defined requirements. Flag missing or non-conforming items, route documents to the right workflow stage, and maintain accurate records of document status across active matters.
  • Process improvement:  Identify opportunities to systematize, automate, or improve existing processes. Surface them with enough context for decisions to be made.
  • Briefing & communications:  Create clear status updates and briefing materials for attorneys and team leads.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Recent undergraduate graduate (any major):  Operations management, business, public policy, communications, and political science backgrounds are common strong fits — but we’ve been surprised before.
  • Operationally wired by instinct:  You close loops. You notice what isn’t tracked and track it. You find the undefined thing and define it.
  • Comfortable with technology: Not in a build-it sense, but in a learn-it-fast sense. You use tools fluently and pick up new ones without friction.
  • Startup orientation:  Ambiguous environments don’t slow you down. You see an evolving process as something to improve, not a reason to wait for more guidance.
  • Clear, precise writer:  You’ll write instructions, status updates, and process documentation that other people depend on. Quality matters.
  • Drawn to meaningful work:  You care that clients harmed by defective products get their cases resolved. You don’t need to be the attorney to find that worth showing up for.

What You’ll Get

  • Full-time, fully remote position with flexible scheduling within core business hours.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • PTO and professional development support.
  • Direct exposure to how a technology-integrated law firm operates at scale — a genuinely unusual vantage point for an early career.
  • Ownership over real operational outcomes from day one, not a narrowly scoped support role.
  • A small team that moves fast and treats your observations about what could work better as data, not noise.
