Job Description:
Florida Housing Finance Corporation is recruiting for a business professional to join our team as a Multifamily Programs Loan Closing Manager. The preferred candidate is a self-starter with experience managing a diverse workload that also works well in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing third party credit underwriting reports and loan closing documents for accuracy and compliance with Florida Housing’s regulations, rules and policies. The position requires assisting staff in identifying potential issues that arise during underwriting and closing processes and actively works to find a solution that meets all program requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring credit underwriting contingencies; reviewing and coordinating the development of real estate documents with counsel; scoring applications requesting Florida Housing funding; participating in weekly status calls; monitoring loan closing timelines; and providing guidance to developers, attorneys, credit underwriters and other stakeholders regarding Florida Housing’s Multifamily Loan and Grant Programs.
Position Requirements:
The successful applicant will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Finance, or other related field. Work experience may be substituted.
- Effective communications skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in both a team environment and independently.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines with high level of attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of, and experience using, Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration/database tools.
- Experience in a professional office setting.
Additional preferred job-related qualifications:
- Experience with credit underwriting, commercial real estate lending, mortgage lending, and/or financial compliance.
- Experience following Florida statutes, rules, and/or federal guidelines.
This is an in-person position in the Tallahassee office of Florida Housing Finance Corporation. We do not offer remote work options.

Salary and Benefits:
Anticipated hiring salary is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Florida Housing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, dental, vision, short and long-term disability insurance, and other miscellaneous programs. Paid vacation, sick and personal leave; 11 paid holidays; and 401/457 retirement accounts.
