Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Job description

• Responsible as a key person in supply chain function
• Create and manage production schedules for products to be delivered to downstream customers on-time with right amount. 
• In charge of ensuring that all materials and goods required for production go into the right place in right amount, and on-time 
• Assists with setting and overseeing work assignments, schedules, and work quality of the manufacturing team. (Production Control)

Responsibilities

• Master production scheduling, create, manage efficient, and effective production schedules of finish goods
• Material requirement planning (Production lead-time management, Purchasing/Procurement planning)
• Capacity Requirement Planning (Rough-cut capacity planning, work center output monitoring, etc.)
• Demand management with sales, and operations planning in detailed product level
• Inventory management/planning (finished goods, WIP, Raw materials) with monthly inventory check
• Production Activity Control/Monitoring (providing feedbacks between scheduling, implementation, capacity control)
• Coordination/Communication with Production, Sales, Quality, Logistics, Accounting
• Drafts, develops, and implements cost-effective manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure that production is within applicable standards.
• System operation of organization’s ERP(SAP), Legacy programs (MES, SCM, WMS)
• Address any issue, improvement when they arise aiming for minimum disruption and maximizing productivity
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, by-products, etc.)
• Archiving various reports, documentations

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
• Proven experience as production planner
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and production/quality control principles
• Experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
• Good at math and statistics
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities (English and Korean required)

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. 
• Ability to walk in the warehouse avoiding obstacles/equipment for prolonged periods
