We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeping & Payroll Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll operations. The right person works independently, takes ownership, and doesn't need to be micromanaged.
This position offers a flexible seasonal schedule — reduced hours during the off-season with full-time hours during tax season. Great work-life balance most of the year with the ability to roll up your sleeves when it counts.
What we're looking for:
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Accounting CS
- Familiarity with Lacerte, UltraTax, SmartVault, or Financial Cents a plus
- Strong attention to detail, self-starter, follows through
Responsibilities include managing a QuickBooks client portfolio, processing payroll, preparing financial statements, onboarding new clients, and assisting with tax season.
Starts at $24/hour commensurate with experience, plus profit sharing bonus.
