Play-based Early Childhood Behavior Technician (Ages 2-6)

Do You Speak “Kid”? We Want to Meet You!

Are you a recent college graduate looking for meaningful work where you can make a real impact? Maybe you studied psychology, education, human development, social work, communication sciences, or another related field, or maybe you simply love working with children and want a career that feels purposeful from day one.

At Zephyr, we’ve created a nurturing, preschool-alternative environment for children ages 2–6 using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach skills through play, connection, and meaningful daily routines.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience supporting children, developing professional skills, and being mentored by a compassionate, collaborative team.

If you’re someone who naturally connects with kids, enjoys creativity and play, and wants to build a career that truly matters, Zephyr may be the right fit for you.

Why This Role is a Great Fit for Recent Graduates

Starting your career can feel overwhelming, especially when many jobs expect experience before giving you an opportunity. At Zephyr, we care more about your mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to connect with children than having years of experience in the field.

You’ll receive:

  • Comprehensive paid training in ABA and behavior support strategies
  • Ongoing mentorship and feedback from experienced BCBAs and leaders
  • Real-world experience working directly with children and families
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the field
  • Support in obtaining your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire

Whether you’re exploring a long-term career in ABA, education, psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, counseling, or healthcare, this role offers valuable experience that builds both professional and interpersonal skills.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Compassionate, patient, and emotionally aware
  • Playful, energetic, and creative
  • Reliable and ready to show up consistently for children and teammates
  • Open to feedback and excited to grow professionally
  • Comfortable in active, fast-paced environments
  • Interested in building meaningful relationships with children and families

Experience working with children through babysitting, summer camps, coaching, tutoring, daycare, volunteering, or internships is highly valued, even if you’re new to ABA specifically.

What You’ll Gain

Beyond learning ABA strategies, you’ll build skills in:

  • Communication and teamwork
  • Child development and behavior support
  • Problem-solving and adaptability
  • Professional collaboration
  • Leadership and self-reflection
  • Documentation and organization

You’ll also become part of a team culture that values authenticity, compassion, creativity, and pushing the field in a more progressive direction.
