Who We Are & What We Stand For

EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a privately-held, next-generation immuno-oncology company pioneering a new class of T cell engager therapies to transform cancer patient outcomes. Our first-in-category EVOLVE platform uses integrated T cell costimulation to directly target tumor cells and deliver durable anti-tumor immune responses.

Our lead asset, EVOLVE104, entered clinical trials in late 2025. We also have collaboration pipeline programs with AbbVie and wholly owned programs progressing toward candidate nomination.

Our team of ~50 FTEs works out of a brand-new, 20,000+ sq ft state-of-the-art lab and office in Branford, CT — conveniently located in the New Haven biotech corridor, with easy access along the Boston–NYC corridor.

Our Values

  • Curiosity — we ask hard questions and stay open to unexpected answers
  • Collaboration — we share what we know and build on each other's strengths
  • Inclusion — we value diverse perspectives and encourage everyone to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement
  • Impact — we are motivated by patients and measure ourselves by outcomes, not outputs

What Makes This Role Special

Your science will directly shape clinical programs — this isn't a support role. You'll own experiments, present your data, and see your work feed directly into drug development decisions.

  • Work on a T cell engager platform that just hit clinical stage — real momentum, real urgency
  • Gain hands-on drug development experience quickly — exposure to clinical-stage and pipeline programs simultaneously
  • Well-equipped, purpose-built labs with established platforms so you can be productive from day one
  • Small team (~50 people) means your contributions are visible and your voice matters
  • Clear growth path into Senior Scientist and leadership roles

What You'll Work On

This is a hands-on, bench-focused role. Here's what a typical week looks like:

  • Design and run in vitro studies using immune cell functional assays, multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell separation, multiplex assays, cell toxicity, and proliferation assays
  • Analyze data, maintain electronic lab notebooks, and prepare clear presentations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with immunobiology, biotherapeutics, and in vivo pharmacology teams
  • Provide scientific input to optimize project progression
  • Present at portfolio and project meetings — your findings will drive organizational decisions
  • Help author internal and regulatory documents (great experience for career development)
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety protocols

Rough weekly split: ~60% bench / ~25% data analysis / ~15% meetings and communication.

Do You Qualify?

We're looking for scientists who are bench-ready and eager to execute — not necessarily someone who has done everything on this list. Here's what matters most:

Must-Haves

  • Ph.D. in immunology or a related field (new graduates welcome — 0 years industry experience required)
  • Recent hands-on lab experience with immune cell-based assays (ideally active within the last few months)
  • Familiarity with methods such as: multicolor flow cytometry, PBMC and primary immune cell functional assays, multiplex assays (MSD, Luminex), western blot, or mRNA analysis
  • Ability to independently plan, run, and interpret experiments
  • Data analysis experience with GraphPad Prism and basic statistical analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll present your data regularly
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice-to-Haves (not required)

  • Exposure to bioinformatics or computational analysis
  • Industry experience (but a strong postdoc background is equally valued)
  • Oncology or translational research background

If you're excited about this role but aren't sure you check every box — apply anyway. We value potential and drive as much as credentials.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in being transparent about what we offer:

  • Base salary: $75,000–$80,000 depending on experience
  • Performance bonus eligibility
  • Equity (stock options) — ownership in the company you're helping build
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • Mentorship and structured opportunities for professional growth

Location & Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role based in Branford, CT. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.

Our lab is located in the New Haven biotechnology corridor — one of the strongest biotech hubs on the East Coast. The area offers:

  • Easy access from New Haven, Hartford, and along the Boston–NYC corridor
  • Connecticut shoreline amenities — dining, outdoor activities, and a strong quality of life
  • A growing biotech ecosystem with long-term career opportunities in the region

Work Authorization

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. EvolveImmune Therapeutics is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

  • EvolveImmune requires COVID-19 vaccination; medical and religious accommodations will be considered
