Leasing Intern

Responsibilities
- Assist with the leasing process by supporting prospective tenants through inquiries, application submissions, and follow-up communications.
- Regularly conduct property walk to ensure the property and buildings are well maintained and in show condition.
- Participate in property tours and unit showings, learning to highlight the features and amenities of each building in the portfolio.
- Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
- Support the management of property databases using Appfolio for data entry, tenant records, and lease tracking.
- Coordinate with property maintenance teams to facilitate property upkeep and address tenant concerns promptly.
- Maintain organized filing systems for documents, lease files, and correspondence while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant questions via phone or email with professionalism and clear communication.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills including filing, data management, and document preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service expertise with excellent phone etiquette and conflict management abilities.
- Experience with property management software such as AppFolio or Yardi, preferred.
- Familiarity with real estate administrative processes like contracts negotiation, upselling amenities or services, and lease renewals, preferred.
- Basic understanding of facilities management principles related to property maintenance and safety compliance.
