Position Overview

M.C. Molds is seeking a motivated student for a Technical Sales & Manufacturing Estimating Internship. This role provides hands-on exposure to the technical and operational side of a precision mold manufacturing business.

The intern will support the sales and estimating team by assisting with customer RFQs, preparing quotations, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and helping track projects throughout the quoting and manufacturing process.

This position offers a unique opportunity to learn how complex manufacturing projects move from customer inquiry to production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing customer RFQs, drawings, and technical documentation to support the quotation process
• Help process quotes and orders for customers and the sales team
• Support estimating activities by gathering information related to materials, labor and outside services
• Assist with preparing technical documentation, product specifications and proposal information
• Coordinate with engineering, programming and manufacturing teams to confirm production feasibility and lead times
• Research historical job data to support cost estimating and pricing analysis
• Assist with tracking open quotations and customer requests
• Support internal communication between sales, engineering and production teams to ensure accurate proposals

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology or Business/Operations programs
• Ability to read or learn to interpret technical drawings or blueprints
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in manufacturing, technical sales or operations
• Familiarity with Excel or other data analysis tools is a plus
