Assistant to the Non-Profit Director - Public Art Initiative

Location: Remote - Miami, FL 

Company Overview:
Poseidon Holdings is a leader in integrating music, art, and community service. In collaboration with the nonprofit Fine Art of Hip Hop, fosters cultural enrichment through the Graffiti Mural Beautification Initiative, revitalizing Miami's urban landscapes with vibrant public art. Interns will have the opportunity to earn college credit, and multiple past interns have earned paid roles as a result of their time with Poseidon Holdings.


Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Assistant to the Nonprofit Director. This role involves supporting the Director in executing our art initiatives, with a strong focus on outreach, stakeholder engagement, and necessary tasks including grant writing support for our nonprofit endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in coordinating public art projects and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Enable outreach with stakeholders, artists, and community locations to foster strong partnerships.
  • Support the planning and execution of community workshops and public events.
  • Aid in identifying potential sites for new mural installations and community collaborations.
  • Contribute to design, curation and installations of public art. 
  • Contribute to grant writing efforts to secure funding for continued project sustainability.
  • Prepare reports and maintain data on project impacts and outcomes.
  • Manage and execute social media strategies to raise awareness about our initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Passionate about public art, community engagement, and nonprofit work.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in grant writing, fund raising and project management.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and community outreach strategies.
  • Interest in expanding operations to provide food, housing & additional community services.
