Volunteer Coordinator Emerging Professional

Overview

Stone International Wellness Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Volunteer Coordinator Emerging Professional to support and manage our volunteer engagement efforts. Working closely with the logistics team, this individual will assist in coordinating community service events, training volunteers, and ensuring that each event runs smoothly.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for students interested in event coordination, community outreach, and nonprofit management, while contributing directly to meaningful service programs.

Location

Office: 1108 W Parker Rd, Suite #102, Plano, TX 75075
 Conference Rooms: 5400 Independence Pkwy, Suite #200, Plano, TX 75023
 Kitchen (Serving Hope Events): 2627 S Ervay St, Dallas, TX 75215

Compensation

This is an unpaid Emerging Professional internship providing mentorship, leadership training, and real-world experience in community event coordination.

Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM

     
  • Thursday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

     
  • Monthly Event: Fourth Saturday (6 AM – 1 PM)

     
  • Up to 20 hours per week

     

Emerging Professional Program

Stone International Wellness Center’s Emerging Professional Program helps college students and young adults develop leadership, communication, and project-management skills while serving the community. Participants gain mentorship and hands-on experience that prepare them to lead with compassion and purpose.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

     
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities

     
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities

     
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite

     
  • Comfortable coordinating groups and speaking publicly

     
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs for event setup when needed

     
  • Enthusiastic about community service and volunteerism

     

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

     
  • Currently enrolled in college and pursuing or interested in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields

     
  • Prior experience in volunteer coordination or event planning is a plus, but not required

     

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers for community events

     
  • Communicate event details and expectations clearly to volunteers

     
  • Support the logistics team in coordinating supplies and donations

     
  • Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to promote volunteer opportunities

     
  • Track attendance and maintain accurate volunteer records

     
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for all volunteers

     
  • Participate in the Serving Hope event each 4th Saturday (6 AM – 1 PM)
