Job Description
Job Title: HR Co Op Date: April 2026
Reports To: HR / EHS Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive HR Co-Op to join our team on-site for 3-4 months. This role focuses on supporting HR initiatives, with limited involvement in EHS projects as HR oversees EHS functions. You will help maintain HR processes, organize documentation, support employee engagement activities, and contribute to HR metrics and audits. The ideal candidate will embody FMD’s core values: Integrity, Velocity, and Teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and update job descriptions to assess roles for testing needs to hire
- Support the creation and implementation of role-specific testing processes to ensure hiring top talent
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, from small events to large celebrations, to promote a positive workplace culture.
- Collect data for HR metrics to support KPI reporting
- Conduct ad hoc audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Organize, sustain and digitize historical HR and EHS documents to update the training matrix.
- Collaborate on EHS programs such as safety recognition initiatives and process standardization.
- Provide ad hoc support for HR tasks and cross-departmental projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with document management is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn with a focus on process improvement.
- Interest in HR operations and employee engagement; knowledge of EHS principles is a plus.
- Must work on-site during the co-op term.
