Concessions Attendant

Position: Concessions Attendant (Outdoor Pools)

Rate: $16.50/hour

Foothills is looking for Concessions Attendants for the summer at Columbine West Pool, Weaver Hollow Pool, Deer Creek Pool and Sixth Avenue West Pool. The Concessions Attendant, under the direction of the Pool Manager, is responsible for organizing and maintaining the concessions area, selling concessions items and completing cash reports. The job requires morning, afternoon, and evening hours including weekends. You must be available to work through August 16th. 

  • Greet patrons as they approach the concessions area, provide customer service and treat patrons professionally while preparing concession items and process transactions.
  • Clean and organize the concessions area.
  • Ensure attractive display of products to encourage patrons to purchase.
  • Track all food, beverage, and merchandise and notify their supervisor when to order more.
  • Open and close out cash register, count money, complete daily cash reports, and submit money collected and documentation to their supervisor.
  • Assists in emergency situations such as evacuations or medical emergencies.
  • Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis; sub for co-workers when available; is responsible for securing substitutes for shifts unable to work.
  • Attend ALL staff meetings, trainings, and orientations.
  • Prepare food products in accordance to regulations regarding food handling/cooking procedures, storage, temperature, and cleanliness of work area.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
  • Ensure that all health, sanitation and safety regulations are in compliance with the Health Department and District standards.
  • Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products/inventory are properly stored, dishes/utensils/pots are clean and put away, trash removed, and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.

Working Environment: Requires considerable movement around the facility. Work is performed at outdoor pool facilities, inside a building in an office and/or kitchen. Requires standing at a counter or in a kitchen, 75% or more of assigned shifts are in a busy environment where noise and interruptions prevail. May be required to utilize cleaning materials and have contact with various chemicals for duties such as mopping, cleaning windows, washing dishes, etc.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to frequently bend, walk, kneel, stoop, reach and lift in performance of duties. Will be required to assist in lifting and moving tables, chairs, and cabinets, etc.. Must exhibit manual dexterity to operate keyboards, calculators, and telephone systems. The ability to communicate via telephone and through face-to-face communication is required.

 

Required Experience

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
  • Any combination equivalent to: work experience involving customer service, assisting the public, general record keeping and/or handling money, concessions or food handling.
  • Current certifications in AED/CPR and First Aid or the ability to obtain such certifications within sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Current Food Handlers Card or must obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and general office equipment (computer, copier, phone, printer, ID Camera, etc.).
  • Proficiency with applicable computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment (microwaves, drink machines, etc.) and cleaning supplies.
