Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a Finance Technician with the Oneida County Health Department. 

 

JOB DUTIES:  This position will provide a variety of clerical, administrative and technical support services in a healthcare setting.  Tasks may include accounting, recordkeeping and grants management, budgeting, gathering and providing information to internal and external customers in order to establish service needs, billing insurance companies, answering phones, establishing and maintaining files, and drafting or editing various documents. 

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (with accounting focus) is required.  Also requires two years of accounting or related work experience or any combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities need for the role.  Prefer Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field and two to five years related work experience, five or more years related work experience in government accounting, and experience with state and federal grant reporting requirements/systems.  Ability to type 70 wpm, accurate reporting and recordkeeping, organizations skills and excellent customer service are a must.

 

WAGES AND BENEFITS:  This full time position has a starting wage range of $25.79 to   $27.27 per hour plus benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years. 

 

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE:    Position works full-time, 40 hours per week.  The position would work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
