The Washington State University (WSU) Sensory Science Center located in the School of Food Science and WSU is looking for a lab manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the WSU Sensory Science Center in Pullman, WA.  Key duties include: 

Laboratory operations and oversight – Oversee day‑to‑day lab activities; Assist with food tasting panels; Maintain lab schedules and coordinate shared equipment use

Budget and administrative tasks - Track lab spending and assist in managing budgets related to lab operations; Assist with purchasing and invoices

Personnel management - Schedule personnel

Inventory control – Order and maintain inventory

Research support - Assist researchers with experimental organization and protocols; Manage sample storage

Documentation and recordkeeping – Maintain lab records

Communication and Coordination - Coordinate lab meetings and trainings

Safety and compliance – Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal safety regulations; Manage waste disposal
