Job Summary:

We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic Camp Counselor to join our team. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of campers of all abilities while providing a fun and engaging experience. 

SEEKING SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR FOR A SUMMER FILLED WITH DIRT, PLAY, AND LEARNING!

An open heart, a curious mind, and an inability to distinguish between your skin color, your constant dirt tan, and the paint and glitter permanently embedded in your body. A wacky playfulness and an inspirational spirit are needed. Applicants must beware of special wake-ups, unpredictable cabin activities, magical rotations, enchanted evening programming, and awe-inspiring embers during each camp week. Approximately 500 campers, 40 staff, 15 horses, one pony, two minis, one kitty cat, and a cloud unicorn in the sky are what lie in store for you this summer at Camp Red Cedar. Applicants must be willing to foster the beauty, wonder, awe, and potential of all assigned campers. Be our next Gandalf, Dumbledore, or Yoda. Be part of the adventure at Camp Red Cedar –Applicants must be at least 18 years old and available from the end of May until the end of August. Pay is a $500/week stipend. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers of all abilities at all times

- Plan and lead daily activities and programs for campers

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all campers

- Provide guidance and support to campers as needed

- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff

- Maintain a clean and organized campsite

- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions
