In-Home Nurse Aide

Job Summary: Provide direct, one-on-one personal care and assistance to patients in their homes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care
• Perform specialized care procedures such as bladder programs, bowel programs, and range of motion exercises
• Administer breathing treatments and respiratory care as directed
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Learn how SCI patients complete ADLs
• Provide patient support

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and follow detailed care instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Junior or senior standing in healthcare program OR
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
• Manual dexterity for personal care tasks

Work Environment:

• Patient home
• Flexible scheduling around class schedules
