Hulbert Outdoor Center – Ropes Facilitator 

The Ropes Course Facilitator is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of high-quality ropes course programming at the Hulbert Outdoor Center. This role supports Aloha Foundation summer programs by facilitating engaging, experiential activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. Facilitators work with participants across a wide range of ages and play an important role in maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and challenge-by-choice environment. On-campus housing is provided during the summer season. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Facilitate high and low ropes course activities for Aloha Foundation summer programs  
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and participant-centered learning environment  
  • Support participants in taking on challenges using a challenge-by-choice philosophy  
  • Model teamwork, communication, and leadership through experiential activities  
  • Work with campers and participants across a wide range of age groups  
  • Assist in the inspection, care, and maintenance of ropes course equipment  
  • Communicate any equipment or safety concerns to the Ropes Course Director  
  • Participate in staff training and contribute to a strong staff community

  • Commitment to working with children and fostering positive group experiences 
  • Comprehensive training provided 
  • Willingness to be flexible and take on varied tasks that support the program 
  • Experience working with children preferred 
  • Wilderness First Aid Certification provided 
  • Valid driver’s license – Clean driving record is desired 

Starting Pay: $14.42 per hour with housing and meals provided – Based on experience and certifications
