JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Intern will support Mission Produce’s marketing team by assisting with the development and execution of communications. This role provides hands-on experience across content creation, campaign support, event communications, and digital marketing initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the marketing team in developing and executing communications initiatives across multiple channels.
- Create and edit marketing content, including but not limited to emails, newsletters, press releases, blog posts, social media content, presentations, sales materials, and website copy.
- Maintain a messaging tracker that compiles recent statistics, industry data, and approved brand messaging to support consistent communications.
- Assist with updating and maintaining marketing communications across materials, digital channels, and the website to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
- Track and organize recent company news, announcements, and media mentions.
- Conduct research to support marketing content, messaging updates, and communications materials.
- Maintain and organize marketing assets and collateral to ensure the team has access to the latest versions.
- Support the marketing team with general administrative and project coordination tasks, including assistance with campaigns, events, and internal initiatives as needed.
- Create a capstone project showcasing the journey of avocados from the field to the end consumer.
- Design and execute the Company’s booth at the Ventura County Fair.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
- Senior-standing student
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity of messaging.
- Interest in marketing, communications, and brand storytelling within a professional business environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Eligible to work in the United States by the start date.
Rate: $20 -$24 per hour
