Job Title: Pre-School Flag Football Instructor (Part-Time – Saturdays)

Location: MacColl YMCA (Lincoln RI)
Schedule: Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Program Dates: Week of June 27th – August 29th

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Pre-School Flag Football Instructor to lead our Saturday morning program for children ages 2–5. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and the ability to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment that introduces the fundamentals of flag football.

In addition, this role may support or lead youth flag football programming for ages 6–12, making prior knowledge of football fundamentals essential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and instruct a Pre-School Flag Football program for children ages 2–5

Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment

Teach basic football skills including throwing, catching, movement, and teamwork

Introduce age-appropriate flag football concepts and games

Adapt instruction to meet the developmental needs of young children

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times

Set up and break down equipment before and after each session

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and YMCA staff

Assist with or lead youth flag football programs for ages 6–12 as needed

Qualifications

Experience working with young children (ages 2–5) required

Knowledge of football/flag football fundamentals required

Coaching or teaching experience preferred

Energetic, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills

Ability to manage a group in a fun and structured environment

Preferred Qualifications

Background in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field

Prior experience coaching youth sports (flag football or similar)

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
