Pre-School T-Ball Instructor

Job Title: Pre-School T-Ball Instructor (Part-Time – Saturdays)

Location:  MacColl YMCA (Lincoln RI)
Schedule: Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Program Dates: May 2nd – June 27th

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Pre-School T-Ball Instructor to lead our Saturday morning program for children ages 2–5. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and the ability to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment that introduces the fundamentals of baseball.

In addition, this role may support or lead youth baseball programming for ages 6–12, making prior baseball knowledge essential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and instruct a Pre-School T-Ball program for children ages 2–5

Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment

Teach basic baseball skills including throwing, catching, hitting, and teamwork

Adapt instruction to meet the developmental needs of young children

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times

Set up and break down equipment before and after each session

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and YMCA staff

Assist with or lead youth baseball programs for ages 6–12 as needed

Qualifications

Experience working with young children (ages 2–5) required

Knowledge of baseball fundamentals required

Coaching or teaching experience preferred

Energetic, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills

Ability to manage a group in a fun and structured environment

Preferred Qualifications

Background in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field

Prior experience coaching youth sports (T-Ball, baseball, or similar)

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
