School Psychotherapist

ABOUT HUMAN SERVICES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OF JEFFERSON COUNTY

Jefferson County’s Human Services Behavioral Health division serves Jefferson County residents who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns through an outpatient clinic setting. The outpatient Integrated Behavioral Health clinic staff is committed to delivering evidence-based practices by providing person-centered and recovery-focused services. The clinic is in need of a School Psychotherapist to join the team that will provide Mental Health services and consultation services for youth and staff within Jefferson County School Districts via clinic branch locations as well as our main office in Jefferson. 

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF SCHOOL PSYCHOTHERAPIST 

As an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate Psychotherapist, you will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:
•Performs crisis risk assessments / suicide risk assessments and response plans, evaluatesyouth’s safety to self and others through clinical interview, develops safety plans, developscrisis plans and facilitates short-term voluntary or involuntary hospital admissions.
•Provides comprehensive assessments, completes treatment plans and provides individualand group psychotherapy to youth in schools and in clinics.
•Provides consultation, psychoeducation, and resources for families, school staff andidentified youth
•Collects and analyzes data related to services provided within schools.
•Facilitates groups within schools in the Jefferson County School District as well as at our mainoffice.
•Several other tasks as needed and provided on the posted job description.


Requirements:
•Master’s degree in social work or related field with two years’ experience
•Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker or in training certification
•Valid Driver’s License
•Experience working with youth


Preferred Requirements:
•Four years’ experience
•Dialectical behavioral therapy and/or cognitive behavioral therapy training or certification
•Bilingual qualified applicants encouraged to apply
•Experience working in schools
