WellSpan Health is excited to welcome emerging clinicians into our Intake Therapist positions within the WellSpan Philhaven Hospital - Access Center. This is an ideal opportunity for students completing their master’s program who want to build strong assessment skills, gain supervised experience, and begin their career in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

As an Intake Therapist, you’ll be the first clinical connection for individuals seeking behavioral health services—helping assess needs, determine appropriate care, and guide patients toward the right next steps.
 

What You’ll Do
•  Conduct behavioral health intake assessments
•  Evaluate symptoms, risk, and treatment needs
•  Provide trauma‑informed, compassionate support during initial contact
•  Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses
•  Document assessments and recommendations using clinical best practices
•  Help ensure timely access to behavioral health services
 

Who We’re Looking For
•  Graduate students in their final semester or recent graduates in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related fields
•  Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
•  A desire to grow professionally in a supportive, team‑oriented environment
•  Passion for helping individuals during pivotal moments in their mental health journey
